Bee Pollen – Energize, De-Stress, Lose Weight…What More?
Came across another great article on the benefits of something that comes straight from Mother Nature’s (heart) garden to you. Bee pollen; hmm, I was aware of some of the benefits and have been a taker of bee pollen myself, but wasn’t aware that it is also beneficial for weight loss, stress reduction.
The article is called “Bee Pollen: The Queen Strategy for Weight Loss and Stress Management and can be found on Edible Goddess and click on this name to read the entire article.
on the benefits and uses of bee pollin.
I recall my ex-husand, a Boston and New York marathon runner, used to sprinkle bee pollen on his breakfast cereal and/or toast every day because of the energy benefits derived from it. I had no idea (according to this article) that it is also good for stress; in fact find that almost contradictory, that is to say how it can be both an energy booster and a calmer? Go figure; try it and let me know your thoughts.
As for weight loss, I am afraid I can’t comment on that as weight is not something I’ve ever had to pay any attention to – at all! Obviously am grateful given it seems that a lot of people do have issues with their weight, and heaven knows there are enough weight loss programs, books, etc. out there and more unfolding on a regular basis. Wonder why people don’t just go back to the basics – you know as can be found in old literature…like the Bible or Torah; or the Maya or the Aztecs or any of those folks. Wonder if they had weight loss clinics…or…just an idea…perhaps, they just ate right
Another use for bee pollen that I found was to start taking it in small doses about two months before spring started to blossom, because I came down with spring allergies, literally on the birth of my second daughter. True to its promise, the second year of doing this, that is building up my system for the pending onslaught of mother nature’s blossoming spring, the symptoms and allergies didn’t seem to be as bad.
Our bodies are ever changing and my spring allergies are almost non-existent. Whether it was feeding my body with bee pollen to build up the natural resistence, or simply the fact my body is in a new cycle, I’ve no idea. But, it certainlydidn’t hurt me to take the pollen and I am sure I derived other benefits from it as well as the alleviation of my allergy symptoms.

I also take bee pollen daily with good results. It increases my energy throughout the day. It's a great energy booster. Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely. And thanks for the reminder re the energy derived. I take a liquid combination of ginseng and royal (bee) jelly every day…and when I was teaching fitness at the Y, I’d take a vial about an hour or so before my class…and then work the he** out of the participants!
