It’s A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood~~Mr. Rogers

As I sat down to write this blog after reading the news article I am going to share with you, it was then the title came to me and I wondered, “What in heaven’s name does that have to do with the news?”

I supposed it could mean anything, but am leaning towards the sense that, sure bad stuff is going on, but what about the good stuff and what about my preaching that we can make a difference~~~that our thoughts alone can positively influence what is happening in this world, and thus the question to self arises, “Do I really believe what I preach?”

It’s time to put my money where my mouth is and practise what I preach, so from this point forward, though I share things that might be of a negative nature, it is only to bring them to the surface and your attention that we might then take counteractive measures by the sending out of good, positive, light and energy healing vibes.  Yes, I absolutely believe that there is power in words, as my blog site states and these words are first thoughts.

So, although, according to this news article Obama has told the people of America not to prepare for potential disaster striking, I am here to tell you (and me), the individual,  it is your responsibility and yours alone (not your mother, father, sister, brother, neighbour); each individual’s responsibility to have his head removed from being buried in the ground and take your own steps to be awake and prepared.  In so doing, you are aware of what’s going on, no longer asleep and sleep walking, and thus in order to positively impact and make a difference, it is every individual’s responsibility to do his/her share by thinking positive, speaking positive and taking positive action – a simple kind word, a smile expressed to the guy beside you in the grocery line. 

“What?” you say!  “She’s crazy!” you continue.  I am not.  It’s like dropping a pebble in the middle of the ocean; it will ripple out and ultimate touch every shore.  Everything, absolutely everything this human does impacts the world in one way or another. 

Don’t just do it (as the Nike commercial goes) – I take it way beyond that and say, Just Be It!

Here’s the article that prompted this blog.  Read it if you will; although I see little point other than to criticize another.  The point here is that it is your own individual responsibility to make a decision, a choice, an informed decision and choice, and to act.

Tomorrow is March 19th.  What will unfold?  Who knows.  Just stay in the positive groove sending out light and love to this universe.

It’s a beautiful day in this neighbourhood and I am going out to enjoy it; camera in hand…perhaps catching the budding of a flower raising her head above the ground after the long, long winter of hibernation.

Stop hibernating and get out into the neighbourhood and be that change you want to see!
