Jesus Christ, Super Star

I’m off to Stratford today to see this Andrew Lloyd Webber production.  It’s been a long time coming for me.  I’ve seen the movie version, but am certain nothing beats the original live play by Webber.

There’s a song from this play that has always stuck with me, and the words, just a few of them, that have done wonders for me; words that have brought to life more than the words of the Bible/Torah were able to do, and that is the reality of the fact that, “He’s a man, just a man….”.  Scripture tells us that Yahshua (Jesus) was human just like us, knew and felt all things that we in our human form experience.  But for some reason the song that says, “I don’t know how to love him…he’s a man, just a man….” have stuck with me through the years and have been an enablement for me to draw even closer to him in my human journey.

He's a Man, Just a Man

I have no doubt that my experience in reliving his last 7 days in this musical will do other wondrous and marvellous things for my soul and spirit, and of course will have my camera at hand with the hopeful expectation that we will be allowed to take photographs.
