Reassurance In Troubling & Challenging Times

Lilies of the Field
Drawn to Matthew 6 this morning, without particular thought or idea of what I was about to read; knowing the chapter once I started reading, but previously not recalling it from memory, it was to find a confirmation and affirmation; a stronghold for us at such a time as this.
Prior to reading Matthew 6, in the course of meditation and visualization, I had thoughts about healing; about not letting the left hand know what the right hand is doing; thinking about the insecurities of life today, for everyone whether or not we realize it; personally, thinking about moving, next stages in my life path and career, my ability to “take care” and meet my needs…all of these things flowing through my mind visualized riding on the surface of a river, never stopping to focus; just calmly allowing them to come and go as I meditated. The final thought was to ask Yahshua for a sign of some sort, a reassurance (we all need reassurance every now and then) that all was well and as it should be in this moment; for encouragement and a means of being mindful of the moment and not continually jumping into the what if’s of tomorrow.
Meditation/prayer time completed, I gazed at the Bible sitting beside me and was impressed to ‘Pick up the bible and read Matthew 6. Yahshua (Jesus) is speaking.
Not letting left hand know what right hand is doing.
:3 But when thou doest alms, let not they left hand know what thy right hand doeth.
My thoughts about right and left hand came to me as I was doing Reiki treatment this morning, hands held together in prayer formation; thinking about and feeling the different energies flowing from each of the hands, about the left being the stronger of the two, wondering if the left knew the right hand? Strange thoughts, I know; but that’s me!
Concerned about life, how to live and meet my daily needs (food, clothing, housing) in semi and full retirement when and if that happens.
:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieve break through and steal;
:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not breeak through nor steal;
:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
It seems to me that the above verses will speak to a lot of people; people who have “layed up treasures” in investments for retirement, etc. and are now panicking with the current economic situation and nose dive in value. Most definitely, what has happened in London and other places, is a physical expression of these verses, where “thieves have broken in” and stolen these earthly treasures.
Continuing on we are promised,
:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
and in,
:26 we are minded how the birds of the air are always fed even though they don’t “store up investments” for “retirement” or the “winter months”, etc.
:27 basically reminds us that all of our “worry” doesn’t do us any good; that it doesn’t add anything to enhance our lives (in fact, I say it does add in that worry contributes to illnesses of both a physical and emotional nature and stokes the fires of fear, thus almost paralyzing us);
:28-29 address our concerns about what we will have to wear, we are reminded that Solomon in all of his splendour wasn’t half as beautifully adorned as the gorgeous lilies of the field which are with us so very briefly, and yet so magnificently adorned/clothed
and verses
:31-34 are replete with admonishings not to worry about tomorrow, for today holds enough concerns of its own to be dealt with. We are to have the faith that just as our needs of all of the yesterdays we have lived, have always been met, so shall it be in all of our tomorrows.
As YHWH Himself reminds us, He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. If He has always come through for you in all of your yesterdays, why make ourselves sick with worries about tomorrow. Is YHWH man that He should change or lie; fickle and uncertain? I answer no to this, more so to hear myself and reassure myself that,
All is indeed well with my soul.
Be of good cheer…don’t worry about what you’re going to eat or wear, for
:32…your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things!

Rightly so, I am so thankful for everyone in my life, friends like you; I am grateful for all the many blessings GOD has showers me; I pray and thank GOD I do not have to worry, to expand my horizon and hopefully be a blessing to someone. I also pray for my endevours and my big why. Be blessed knowing you make a difference in someone's life like mine. I love you with the love of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Have a nice and fruitful week.
My dear sister…thank you for your love words and may YHWH continue to bless you with His direction for your journey and His unfolding plan in your life. When our desire is to be a blessing unto others, in submission to His Will…it is not you or I who do the doing. but the Spirit through us; and He always accomplishes that which He sets out to do. We need only say, “Here Am I Lord” to the Great I AM! Much love to you Elizabeth!
