You’ll Never Change!

You’ll never change is the word I hear,
And embracing it I struggled for so long
To be what you wanted me to be
To be my concept of who I thought I should be.

It was, it is a futile battle I fight to be
Someone someone else says I should be;
Struggling against self, fighting a losing
Battle.  For if I succeed, someone else
Will come along, he too wanting to change me.

Well guess what folks, please continue to say
Those words to me; let me hear them
Every day that I breathe!  Please promise to me
That you’ll never stop saying
Those words to me!

I DON’T WANT TO CHANGE into some
Fallible concept dreamt up by man
As weak and flaw filled as I am.
I simply want to BE,
Be set free from all misconceived ideas
Of who you and I think I should be,
FREE TO BE ME.

So I ask you again, please do not stop
Don’t ever stop saying those words to me.
Let them ring constantly in my ears,
Fill my heart and soul with their Truth~~~
For not to change means, I am set free
TO BE ME – for who I AM is eternal you see!

As with the Creator, the same yesterday, today
and tomorrow,
Eternity simply is…no concept of time, shape or form
Simply IS and so AM I….ME ETERNALLY.
