What an amazing revelation, word for me to hear. I simply sat down to write a one line thing - that is, that for me the parable of the lamb and the lion lying down together, no more at war with each other, is perhaps a metaphor about the ongoing struggle between my Spiritual and physical self. So much more came out, as the words unfolded one letter at a time to form this blog. Peace - if I am at ware with self, even should I speak peace, I cannot give what I do not have, what I am not.

Took the Toronto subway today; been a while. Things haven't changed. Everyone still looks so tired, so lifeless....so lost. The few words I overheard spoken were words of criticism, one person to another about someone they worked with. The pollutted underground air had polluted negativity added to it with negative words. Such a sad city...despite the glitter, I don't see a lot of happy or content people. Where is the peace, the Shalom? All that glitter...and really, no treasure...just fools gold as we 5 million citizens chase our bank accounts and our families disappear.

Reading an article on the chaotic state of the human mind, I was thinking about how that inner chaos is indeed reflected in the outer world. Then I got to thinking about Yahshua and his ways and his words; thinking about who am I, but one person, just a (wo)man, what could I possibly do? It begins with one, doesn't it. If I can reflect into the outter world an inner peace and joy and goodness that is me, then why not; why can't I make a difference, even if it is just in the building I live in or the office I work in. One small step for mankind, right?
