Life Is A Journey

Life is but a pilgrim’s progress
In which you and I try to do our best.
Its promises are that we have life today,
It says nothing about tomorrow, or what may come our way.

So if you and I should happen to meet
As we walk in crowds down some lonely street;
Just raise your head and give me a smile,
And together we can journey the next few miles.

Life is a journey the end we do not know,
But it is filled with promises and hope for each day;
Therefore I say to all who venture this way,
Live it fully and joyfully, like you are supposed to do.

It’s not all about who will love me,
Or will I know him or her when I do see.
It’s about that smile, that helping hand
Stretched out to another, all across this land.

Enjoy the journey and let there be always progress,
From this path appointed unto you,
Don’t be deterred by things others do;
Just keep moving forward, living life to your best.
